Title 24 codes are changing for 2026.
Effective January 1, 2026, California will adopt updated Title 24 requirements. Rather than one standard for the whole state, there were will four different sets of
U-Value/SHGC combinations that cover the 16 climate zones in California. Climate zone is determined by the zip code of the jobsite; please follow this link for a lookup tool: California Climate Zones.
Projects permitted in 2025 will follow the current guidelines. Projects permitted as of 1/1/26 will follow the new requirements.
